On May 15, Yessenov University hosted an extended meeting of the Republican Academic and Methodological Association (AMA) for higher and postgraduate education in the field of “Marine Engineering and Technology.”
The meeting was attended by representatives of shipping and marine service companies, as well as seaports of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
During the session, the outcomes of the AMA’s participation in the development of professional standards, preparation and review of regulatory acts in the field of science and higher education, and in drafting recommendations for the design, improvement, and analysis of academic programs within sectoral qualifications related to marine engineering were summarized.
Key topics of discussion included the implementation of new educational programs in the maritime sector and the integration of outcomes from international projects and applied scientific research into the academic process. Special attention was given to involvement in the megaproject titled “Development of Integrated Energy-Saving Technologies to Enhance Environmental Sustainability and Efficiency of Marine Operations in the Kazakh Sector of the Caspian Sea.”
