The Civilization of Turkic Peoples and Its Place in the History of World Culture

On May 28, Yessenov University hosted the grand opening of the international scientific and practical conference titled “The Civilization of Turkic Peoples and Its Place in the History of World Culture.” The event is part of the “Aktau — Cultural Capital of the Turkic World 2025” initiative.

The conference brought together prominent scholars from Türkiye, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkmenistan, as well as Member of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Darkhan Kuandykuly, the Chairman of the Kazakh Cultural Center in Hungary, Chair of the Permanent Commission on Social Issues, regional maslikhat deputies, and representatives of the academic community.

The participants explored the shared historical and cultural heritage of the Turkic world, its role in the global civilizational landscape, and its interconnectedness with world culture. Special focus was placed on the scientific, artistic, literary, and state-building achievements of Turkic peoples and their contribution to world history.

The scientific reports and insights presented at the conference offered a deeper understanding of the worldview paradigm of the Turkic world, opened new perspectives in Turkological studies, and highlighted the importance of spiritual unity.

The conference served as a significant scholarly and cultural platform, fostering stronger cultural ties among nations, promoting shared values, and ensuring their transmission to future generations. It also contributed to enhancing cooperation in science and education among Turkic countries.
