On December 20, Vice Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Darkhan Ahmed-Zaki visited Yessenov University as part of a working trip.
A campus tour was organized in the main building of the university, during which the Vice Minister was presented with the progress of the winter examination session at YU.
Further, the guest got acquainted with the activities, structure and priority areas of development of the Kazakh-German Institute of Sustainable Engineering.
During the visit, Darkhan Zhumakanovich held a meeting with residents of the Mangystau region on the development of science and higher education in the region.
The Vice Minister elaborated on the results of this year in the field of education and reviewed the main achievements and results.
Residents of the region asked Darkhan Zhumakanovich questions on topical issues of youth involvement in science, support for young scientists in the region and increasing the number of state grants for regional universities.
The Vice Minister gave meaningful answers and shared details of the competition for grant financing for scientific and technical projects and the launch of a mortgage program for young scientists, spoke about the planning of state grants for Atlas and the upcoming needs of specialists.
At the end of the event, Darkhan Ahmed-Zaki held a personal reception for the citizens of the region, giving them the opportunity to express their opinions on issues of higher education and science.
