From January 5 to 12, 2025, a group of students of the 6В11101-Tourism educational program of the Faculty of Tourism and Languages went on an information tour to the tourist attractions of the Republic of Karakalpakstan in order to familiarize themselves with the historical and cultural features, customs and traditions of Uzbekistan. On behalf of the university, the students were accompanied by N.N. Dzhanibekova, an assistant of the “International Relations and Tourism” department of the faculty. Accommodation, meals, and travel expenses for students were provided free of charge by the organizers.
During the information tour, the students got acquainted with the tourist facilities and historical and cultural sites of the cities of Nukis, Moinak and Khiva. In addition, they visited the I.V. Savitsky Art Museum of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, which is the second largest in the world after the collection of the Russian Museum in St. Petersburg. The Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Karakalpakstan provided students with a special professional guide to make the tour interesting and informative.
It can be said that this trip gave students a great opportunity not only to see the amazing and mysterious historical places of another country, but also to learn about their history and expand their horizons. On behalf of the university, we would like to express our gratitude to the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Aktau for providing the opportunity to participate in such an informative tour.
