The Institute of ContinuingEducation has organizedathree-monthlanguagecourseon the topic”Russianlanguage.A1levelforinternationalstudents”.
The A1levelRussianlanguagecourse is designedforstudents who are taking the firststepsinlearning the language. The program is aimedatdevelopingbasiccommunicationskillsnecessaryforeverydaycommunicationandunderstandingsimpletexts.
During the course, studentslearnthebasics of grammarandvocabulary of the Russianlanguage,learn to read,write,listenandspeakonsimpletopics.Thealphabet,rules of readingandpronunciation,personalpronouns, the verb”to be”,nounsandadjectivesin the singularandplural,cases,tenses of verbs,aswell as the mostcommonly used expressionsandconstructions are studied.
Specialattention is paid to oralspeechandpronunciation, the development of listeninganddialogicskills.Studentslearn to introduce themselves,talkaboutthemselves,family,profession,city,dailylife,aswell as asksimplequestionsandunderstand the answers of the interlocutor.
Upon completion of the course, students will be able to:
– understand simple phrases and expressions related to basic life situations;
– communicate on everyday topics (dating, shopping, transportation, family, work, hobbies);
– fill out simple questionnaires, write short messages and letters;
-perceivesimpletextsandaudio materials onfamiliartopics.
The course creates a solid foundation for further study of the Russian language at the A2–B1 levels.
