From May 10 to June 14, the XIII Summer Universiade among students of higher education institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan is being held at the International University of Tourism and Hospitality in Turkistan.
The men’s team of Yessenov University took 3rd place in the overall team standings in karate-do and also achieved impressive results in the individual competition.
Olzhas Altynbek — 4th-year student of the “Physical Culture and Sports” educational program, 1st place in the up to 67 kg weight category;
Aidos Mukhat — 4th-year student of the “Physical Culture and Sports” educational program, 2nd place in the up to 75 kg weight category;
Bakhytzhan Zhalgasbai — 2nd-year student of the “Public and Local Administration” educational program, 3rd place in the up to 60 kg weight category;
Asel Sagidulla — 1st-year student of the “Physical Culture and Sports” educational program, 3rd place in the up to 59 kg weight category;
Muslima Nurlibek — 1st-year student of the “Financial Markets and Corporate Business” educational program, 3rd place in the up to 61 kg weight category.
