Asia in international relations in the XXI century

On December 5, 2023, an online round table was held on the topic “Asia in international relations in the XXI century”. The organizers of the round table are the Department of Political Sciences of St. Kliment Ohridsky Sofia University (Bulgaria) and the Department of International Relations and Tourism of Yessenov University. Moderators of the round table: Professor T.A. Dronzina, Associate Professor A.B. Medikhanova.

The relevance of the topic of the round table is due to the role and importance of Asian countries and regions in world politics of the 21st century in the context of a new formative world order. Presentations were made by: Marinela Petkova – Diplomat, Head of the Department for East Asia of the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry, Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to Vietnam (2019-2023); Iskren Ivanov – PhD, Associate Professor at Sofia University and former Visiting Researcher at Hanguk University of Foreign Languages, South Korea; Denis Simeonov is a Master of International Relations and Security Studies at St. Kliment Ohridski Sofia University and others. The round table was also attended by students of the 3rd and 4th courses of the specialty “International Relations”, they were active, asked questions, received new interesting knowledge, opinions on topical issues of world politics and international relations.
