On May 13, Yessenov University hosted a guest lecture by the Ambassador of the European Union to Kazakhstan, Aleška Simkić, for students of the Kazakh-German Institute of Sustainable Engineering. The topic of the lecture was “Cooperation and Interaction between Kazakhstan and the European Union.”
During the meeting, international educational and research programs such as Erasmus+ and Horizon Europe were thoroughly discussed. The Ambassador introduced EU initiatives in the fields of youth policy and education, encouraging students to actively participate in global projects.
The session also addressed key areas of multilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and the EU, including environmental issues, renewable energy sources, water resource management, logistics, and the strategic importance of the Caspian Sea.
This event served as a strong source of motivation for students. Such engagements provide a valuable platform for expanding international partnerships, acquiring knowledge, and exchanging experiences.
