Abai’s Legacy and Moral Education

On August 14, Yessenov University, through the organization of the Department of Social Support and Youth Development, hosted a roundtable discussion titled “Abai’s Legacy and Moral Education”, dedicated to the 180th anniversary of the birth of the great Kazakh thinker, poet, and educator Abai Kunanbaiuly.

The event brought together faculty deans, department heads, administrative leaders, and a library specialist.

During the roundtable, participants explored Abai’s life and creative work in detail, discussing themes of morality, upbringing, labor, and education reflected in his Book of Words.
The program also featured Abai’s works, his Book of Words, poetry collections, and scholarly publications about him.

Attendees recited excerpts from Abai’s poems and shared their reflections.
