On April 24, an international seminar titled “Modern mechanisms of decarbonization of the economy in the context of sustainable development” was organized by the Faculty of Business and Law, along with the Departments of Finance and Economics.
The seminar aimed to gather scholars and specialists to discuss current issues in developing innovative models for the balanced progression of society and nature, along with mechanisms for implementing carbon regulation.
The conference was attended by professors from various foreign universities, including Doctor of Economics, Professor Zenina E.V., and Candidate of Economics, Associate Professor Gapurbaeva S.R. from the Department of Management and Economics of the International University of Kyrgyzstan; Turgaeva A.A., Candidate of Economics and Associate Professor of the Department of Economic Security and Risk Management at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation; Adilchaev R.N., Professor at Tajik State University of Law, Business, and Politics; F.S. Zumakulova, Ph.D. in Economics and Associate Professor at Kabardino-Balkarian Agrarian University; and S.M. Nurayakhmetova, Associate Professor and Ph.D. in Economics at Kazan State University, among others.
During the seminar, participants discussed key aspects of the low-carbon development concept, challenges in transitioning to a technological framework, mechanisms for carbon regulation, carbon intensity metrics, environmental and energy indicators related to the socio-economic effects of low-carbon development, as well as potential avenues for fostering collaborative scientific and academic endeavors.
