In accordance with the financial justification related to the need for research work on the 2024 project on the topic: AP19679430 “Application of flow-deflecting technologies to enhance oil recovery in the Mangystau region”, implemented within the framework of grant funding from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2023-2025, members of the research group working at the Department of Petrochemical engineering”, namely Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor (Associate Professor) Zholbasarova Akshyryn Tangalievna, Bayamirova Ryskol Umarovna, Togasheva Aliya Rizabekovna and Tabylganov Maksat Toksanovich, visited Tashkent State Technical University named after Islam Karimov (Tashkent, Uzbekistan) from November 04 to 09, 2024. The main purpose of the trip was the exchange of scientific and practical knowledge and acquaintance with new technologies.
The Department of Oil and Gas Engineering of Tashkent Technical University is one of the leading departments in the field of training specialists for the oil and gas industry of Uzbekistan and Central Asia. The department trains highly qualified engineers, technologists and researchers capable of solving current problems in the oil and gas industry, including the development, production and processing of hydrocarbons. The research group of the scientific project on the topic “Application of flow-deflecting technologies to enhance oil recovery in the Mangystau region” visited laboratories engaged in improving oil recovery and water permeability of rocks and discussed with scientists the development of joint scientific articles.
The summit was attended by senior management, middle management, main departments and technical divisions of oil and gas companies, as well as representatives of government agencies, the expert community and service companies. Within the framework of the business program, the trends in the development of the oil and gas industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan are considered; from oil and gas production to refining: new solutions and opportunities; digital technologies in oil and gas companies; security issues of oil and gas companies.
Among the experts, among the main speakers was the head of the Department of Energy and Automation of the Caspian University of Technology and Engineering named after Sh. Yesenova, a member of the research group of the project, researcher Saduakasov Danabek Saldyrovich. He expressed his opinions related to science and the learning process. Saduakasov D. S. in his report outlined the priority directions of science development for 2024-2026 at a meeting of the Higher Scientific and Technical Commission and the role of the country’s scientific community in solving special problems of the oil and gas industry. Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek said that six priority directions for the development of science for 2024-2026 have been developed. International experience was taken into account in their preparation. One of the main tasks that the state sets for the scientific community is to solve the problems of the real sector of the economy. As you know, a significant share of the domestic budget is formed at the expense of the oil and gas industry. Recent changes in the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan are aimed at improving the efficiency of the oil and gas industry; At the same time, he named a number of problems, including scientific and technical ones. Our research group is actively working on a scientific project aimed at solving the problems of the oil and gas industry in the Mangystau region. Our first scientific visit on this project coincided with the II International Oil and Gas Summit, where we can promote scientific goals and objectives.
As a result of the development of technology for influencing the oil reservoir using flow deflection technologies, the ability to maintain and stabilize oil production in fields with abnormal properties and hard-to-reach hydrocarbon reserves increases. Potential consumers of the expected results are: oil and gas producing enterprises and students, students, undergraduates and PhD students in accordance with the educational programs of the Department of Petrochemical Engineering. Within the framework of this project, the issues of refining the obtained laboratory instruments and equipment were analyzed. Together with Kaznihimunaigas employees conducting research, an analysis of the educational process of Yesenov University was carried out. The main goal is to replenish the previously existing laboratory base with a new effective modern tool and continue the development of the system in the laboratory.
The head of Zholbasarova A.T. and members of the research group Saduakasov D.S., Tabylganov M.T. participated in the international conference on the latest achievements of engineering and technology, organized by the International Institute of Education, Research and Development, held on December 8-9, 2023 in Istanbul, Turkey (INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON RECENT ADVANCE IN ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY (ICRAET-2023). Each member of the research group received a certificate as a participant of the conference.
This is our first foreign business trip on a scientific project with participation in an international conference. At the conference, we received useful information on improving oil recovery in fields being developed at the last stages of development.
In addition, during this visit, the members of the research group visited Istanbul Technical University (ITU), got acquainted with the teaching staff, software, and the material base of the university, namely, the educational and scientific laboratories of mining engineering. The university has a laboratory of reservoir fluids and physics, a laboratory for drilling fluid research, and a laboratory for field modeling.
The University includes the Department of Oil and Natural Gas Mining, the head of which is Dr. PhD Omer Inanch Tyureyen. During the conversation, online meetings were scheduled on the issue of oil recovery, negotiations on a scientific association and the conclusion of an international memorandum were also discussed and held.
The analyzer is designed for sieving bulk materials by size classes in a periodic mode. The analyzer refers to vibration equipment with an electromechanical drive or an electromagnetic drive.
Sieve analyzers are designed to determine the granulometric composition during sample preparation. The element generating a high-frequency effect with a certain amplitude is a vibration drive, the executive body is a set of sieves with a pallet and a lid, formed based on the requirements for determining particle size classes.
