On May 13, Yessenov University hosted a round table titled “The Water Artery of Victory: Heroism of Maritime and River Transport Workers, 1941–1945.” The event was organized by the Caspian Institute of Maritime and River Transport named after Admiral F. M. Apraksin (Astrakhan, Russian Federation) with the participation of Director Olga Kartashova and representatives of the Government of Astrakhan Region.
The round table was attended by the Consulate General of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Astrakhan, Vice President of Yessenov University A. Seidaliyev, faculty members, and cadets of the Marine Academy.
Yessenov University places great importance on patriotic education and the preservation of historical memory, carrying out joint projects with museums, archives, and veterans’ organizations, as well as organizing round tables, conferences, and student-led initiatives.
This event became a meaningful contribution to fostering historical awareness among youth and honoring the legacy of the Victory generation.
