The YU Delegation Visited Leading Universities in Azerbaijan

Yessenov University continues its systematic efforts to develop international cooperation with leading universities around the world. As part of this initiative, a university delegation led by Vice President for Academic Affairs Kairbek Makulov visited several prominent universities in Azerbaijan.

On March 3, the delegation visited the Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University, where they held a meeting with Rector Rufat Azizov. The discussions focused on prospects for partnership in oil and gas engineering and energy, as well as the implementation of joint research projects. Special attention was given to academic exchange programs for faculty members and research internships for master’s students.

The delegation also visited the Azerbaijan State University of Economics, where they explored opportunities for collaboration in economics, management, and digital technologies. Academic mobility programs and research internships are already being successfully implemented, creating new opportunities for Yessenov University students and faculty.

The final stage of the visit included a meeting with the Rector of Baku State University, Professor Elchin Safarli. The two sides agreed to launch a dual-degree program in International Relations, which will allow students to earn diplomas from both universities and participate in joint academic projects.
