On February 12, Yessenov University hosted a meeting between students and representatives of the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Management of the Mangystau Region.
The event was opened with welcoming remarks by Askar Sakenovich Kanybekov, Deputy Akim of the Mangystau Region, and Yermek Talantovich Nurmaganbet, Acting Vice President of Yessenov University. The keynote speakers included Adilbek Mustazheubuly, Kirill Osin, and Bakytgul Zhaksilykova, who are actively engaged in promoting environmental initiatives in the region.
Following the meeting, students visited the university’s greenhouse, where they planted Japanese pagoda tree (Sophora japonica) seeds. According to Akzhanis Imanbayeva, Director of the Mangystau Experimental Botanical Garden, this initiative aims to enhance the region’s environmental sustainability and encourage young people to take an active role in environmental conservation.
