Meeting with the Chairman of the Writers’ Union of Kazakhstan, Mereke Kulkenov

On April 1, Yessenov University hosted a meeting with the Chairman of the Writers’ Union of Kazakhstan, Mereke Kulkenov.

The main purpose of the meeting was to present the Republican expedition under the theme “National Values. Kazakh Ethnography. Dedicated to the 90th Anniversary of Zeynolla Sanik”, as well as to award a personalized scholarship established in honor of the poet and State Prize laureate Yesengali Raushanov.

Among the attendees were Mereke Abdeshuly Kulkenov, Kasymkhan Seitkhanovich Begmanov, Amirzhan Sagidrakhmanuly Kosanov, Serik Kaliuly Kaliyev, Sultanbek Kudaybergen, and members of the expedition.

Additionally, songs based on Yesengali Raushanov’s poetry were performed during the event, creating a deeply meaningful cultural atmosphere.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Yesengali Raushanov Scholarship was awarded to Zhanibek Begimuly Zholdybaev, a second-year student of the “Kazakh Language and Literature” program, in recognition of his academic excellence and active involvement in the university’s cultural life.
