Promoting Academic Integrity at the Faculty of Law and International Relations

On December 2, 2025, at Yessenov University, the Head of the Anti-Corruption Compliance Service met with first-year students of the “International Relations” educational program of the Faculty of Law and International Relations and conducted an Academic Integrity Session on the topic “Anti-Corruption Culture, Integrity, and Academic Honesty.” During the event, issues related to improving the university’s anti-corruption management system, strengthening the principles of honesty, and enhancing students’ responsibility culture were discussed.

The speaker emphasized that an environment built on honest knowledge and fairness is a fundamental requirement for the training of qualified professionals. Particular attention was drawn to the role of youth in shaping anti-corruption culture. It was highlighted that Yessenov University is one of the first higher education institutions in the country to implement an anti-corruption management system in accordance with the international ISO 37001:2016 standard. The work of the Compliance Service, the Academic Integrity Code, the “Sanaly Urpaq” student club, and other ongoing initiatives in this area were also underscored.

At the end of the session, students were reminded of the importance of maintaining academic integrity, avoiding plagiarism and cheating, relying on their own knowledge, and adhering to the principles of fairness.

The event was aimed at promoting the values of integrity among the youth and fostering a culture of honesty in society.
