On April 3, 2025, the Institute of Continuing Education at Yessenov University launched the second cohort of the Integrated Tourist Guide Training Course for senior citizens as part of the “Silver University” project.
The goal of the course is to promote and develop tourism in the Mangystau region, focusing on its sacred, spiritual sites and natural beauty.
The Silver University course follows a modular system and includes fundamental training in guiding skills, understanding the historical and cultural landmarks of Mangystau, computer literacy, and English language proficiency.
Participants of the silver age will gain knowledge from highly qualified specialists, professors, and candidates of science about the sacred sites, natural wonders, and centuries-old traditions of the region. They will also learn how to effectively communicate and apply language skills in their future work as guides.
At the end of the three-month course, future guides will receive certificates from the Institute of Continuing Education.
