A first-year student in the “Physical Culture and Sports” program at Yessenov University, Batyr Dzhukembayev, holding the regional WBA Continental North Americas title in the first middle division, continued his impressive presence in the global boxing arena with another victory in the USA.
The bout headlined the boxing night in Plant City, Florida. Lasting the full 10 rounds, Dzhukembayev faced French athlete Mohamed Mimoun, ultimately securing a victory with a score of 23-5. Through unanimous decision from the judges, the Yessenov University student achieved his 22nd professional win, successfully defending the WBA Continental North Americas title in the first welterweight category.
This marks the Kazakhstani boxer’s third match in the USA. In September of this year, he competed for the regional WBA NABA (North American champion) welterweight title, emerging victorious in a duel against Argentine athlete Hugo Alberto Roldan with a split decision from the judges.
