On September 17, Yessenov University hosted a meeting with members of the NPP Construction Support Staff. The event was organized by the Mangystau regional branch of the AMANAT Party in collaboration with the university’s faculty and staff.
Participants included Nurbek Karasaevich, Chairman of the Mangystau branch of AMANAT and head of the People’s Headquarters, Serikbai Kudaibergenovich, Chairman of the regional Veterans Council, Ranida Amerzhanovna, Acting Chair of the Mangystau branch of the People’s Party of Kazakhstan, and Gaziza Bakhtiarkyzy, Deputy Chair of the Mangystau branch of the Ak Zhol Democratic Party.
During the meeting, participants emphasized that the government has the capacity to manage the construction and operation of nuclear power plants and ensure stable employment for citizens. It was also noted that if the public supports the project, the plant will be built to international IAEA standards under the supervision of experts.
At the conclusion of the event, Yessenov University staff posed questions and received comprehensive answers regarding the environmental impact of nuclear power plants, particularly on Lake Balkhash, as well as the economic feasibility of the project.
