On February 3, 2025, the Institute of Continuing Education launched advanced training courses on the topic “Corrective Work with Children with Severe Disabilities in the Inclusive Education System.” The program is designed for teaching staff, university students, educators from special (correctional) educational institutions, and parents of children with disabilities.
Gauhar Murakkyzy Zholdybayeva, a senior lecturer at the Department of Pedagogy of the Faculty of Education, a defectologist at the regional special boarding school, and a pedagogical expert, shared her extensive experience in the field of inclusion.
During the training, the defectologist covered key aspects of the course, including:Diagnosis and planning of inclusive education; Speech development characteristics of children with various develop; Features of children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD); Education for individuals with intellectual disabilities; Special education for individuals with visual impairments, and more.
Over the two-week program, participants mastered effective methods and approaches for working with children with severe disabilities, including those with ASD and visual impairments. The sessions provided in-depth analysis and hands-on training in the practical application of special corrective techniques. Additionally, the course covered ways to strengthen emotional resilience, parental and teacher counseling on correctional work, and support strategies.
Upon completion of the course, each participant will receive a certificate of completion in the prescribed format.
