From October 22 to November 12, 2024, Yessenov University will host the traveling exhibition “Energy in Transition — Energy of the Future.” Organized with the support of the GIZ Hydrogen Diplomacy Office and the German Consulate General in Almaty, the exhibition focuses on global energy transition and sustainable mobility.
The opening and accompanying conference, held on October 22, addressed critical issues in green energy and international cooperation. Experts, industry leaders, and government representatives discussed topics such as renewable energy development, the Middle Corridor, training specialists for Central Asia’s energy future, and innovations in green hydrogen.
The exhibition features five interactive cubes that allow visitors to engage directly with the content. Attendees can explore innovations in renewable energy, delve into various perspectives on global energy transition, and understand the social and ethical dimensions of a “just transition.” Key installations include the “Mobility Cube,” highlighting sustainable transport solutions, and the “Renewable Energy Cube,” showcasing cutting-edge technologies for green electricity generation.
Special attention is given to the “Just Transition Cube,” which examines social equity in energy transformation through expert video presentations from around the world. The interactive exhibits invite participants to explore the global energy transition from various stakeholders’ viewpoints, including government agencies, the private sector, and the scientific community.
The exhibition also includes an “Info Lounge,” where visitors can access publications on sustainable energy transition and gain further insights.
This exhibition has already been presented in countries across Central Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, highlighting the global interest in sustainable energy development. The exhibition at Yessenov University will run until November 12, offering participants the opportunity to learn about new energy solutions and exchange knowledge with international experts.
