The purpose of the activity:

— conducting pilot tests and introducing the results of scientific research into production;

Tasks of the activity:

— Monitoring of pollution of the air basin, underground, drinking, sea, waste waters, soils, radiological measurements and gamma-ray survey, monitoring of the impact of the oil and gas complex on the pollution of the waters of the Kazakhstan part of the Caspian Sea shelf;

— participation in research and design and survey work on environmental issues.

Main mission: Assistance in the implementation of scientific and scientific-technical programs and projects, including fundamental, applied in priority areas of scientific and technological development, assistance in the preparation of master’s, doctoral dissertations in the relevant field of scientific areas.

Technical equipment of the laboratory: The laboratory has a full range of measuring instruments, such as the KFK-3KM spectrophotometer, spectral range 325-1000 nm, atomic absorption spectrometer MGA-915M, 190-600 nm, liquid analyzer Fluorat-02- 2 M”, light meter “TKA-LUX”, measurement range from 1 lx-200000 lx, meteorological aneroid barometer BAMM-1, measurement range 80 kPa-106 kPa, sound level meter-vibrometer “OKTAVA-110A”.

The laboratory is at the stage of obtaining a number of permits and an accreditation certificate from the authorized bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Main activities:

  • monitoring, inspection and analysis of soil pollution;
  • monitoring, inspection and analysis of pollution of drinking, underground, surface and marine waters;
  • monitoring, inspection and analysis of radioactive contamination;
  • monitoring, inspection and analysis of the impact of industrial activities, transport of the oil and gas complex on pollution of the marine environment and coastal zone;
  • assistance in the implementation of measures to improve the ecological state of the natural environment;
  • improvement of the unified monitoring system, survey and analysis of the natural environment;
  • adoption of the results of monitoring, survey and analysis in the systematization of the region, analysis of the dynamics of environmental pollution in places of emissions, discharges and disposal of production and consumption waste, assessment of the impact of pollution on the environment;
  • provision of practical and methodological consulting services for monitoring, inspection and analysis of environmental pollution.
