The purpose of the project:

The project aims to develop and improve a technology for modifying road bitumen and asphalt concrete with rubber-polymer composites to ensure high performance properties of road construction materials and, ultimately, high-quality highways.

Scientific novelty:

A new method for modifying bitumen and asphalt concrete by adding rubber-polymer modifiers will be developed, effectively utilizing rubber and polymer waste. The development of a process flow diagram for modifying bitumen and asphalt concrete will allow for the development of new bitumen binder compositions for industrial production. A hybrid rubber-polymer modifier composition will be selected that will reduce the cost of polymer-bitumen binders. A novel feature is the fact that this type of research is being conducted for the first time using bitumen produced in Kazakhstan by KASPI BITUM BK LLC.
