In accordance with the 2025 calendar plan of the IRN AP26101849 project entitled “Study of Paraffin Deposition Processes in Oil Reservoirs of the Mangystau Region Fields”, members of the research team of the Department of Geology and Petrochemical Engineering – Candidates of Technical Sciences, Associate Professors R.U. Bayamirova, A.R. Togasheva, A.T. Zholbassarova, M.D. Sarbopeeva, D.S. Saduakasov – visited Xi’an Shiyou University (Xi’an, People’s Republic of China) from December 8 to 12, 2025. The visit aimed at exchanging scientific and practical experience, familiarizing with advanced technologies, and establishing academic and research collaborations.
Within the framework of the visit, meetings were held with the academic staff of Xi’an Shiyou University. The delegation became acquainted with the educational process and the university’s material and technical facilities, including scientific and educational laboratories, and delivered lectures.
In addition, the project research team visited the Oil and Gas Technologies Company affiliated with Xi’an Shiyou University, where they became familiar with technologies for servicing oil and gas fields and enhanced oil recovery methods. This company conducts close research collaboration with Xi’an Shiyou University and provides its services at the international level.
As a result of the visit, plans for further joint research activities were developed, and preliminary drafts of cooperation agreements between Yessenov University and Xi’an Shiyou University were outlined.
