The international “Caspian Games” are underway in Aktau, bringing together more than 400 students from the Caspian region countries.
Students from universities that are members of the Association of Research Centers of the five Caspian states have gathered in Aktau. The international event aims to develop student sports and strengthen friendship among young people from neighboring countries.
Students aged 16 to 25 are competing, with events held simultaneously at several sports venues across Aktau.
Athletics, volleyball, futsal, basketball, swimming, karate-do, boxing, chess, esports and sambo.

“This is my second time competing in volleyball at an event that brings together young people from the Caspian states. The first one was held in Russia. It’s my first time in Kazakhstan. I’ve met students from Aktau and Atyrau and made new friends among them.”
