In line with its longstanding institutional tradition, Yessenov University will begin the new academic year by introducing a new increase in salaries for its faculty members. This decision reflects a clear institutional principle: the university’s most important asset is the dedication, professionalism, and intellectual contribution of its academic staff. Creating conditions in which faculty can work with confidence, stability, and professional focus—and can make their fullest contribution to teaching, research, and academic development—remains one of the university’s highest priorities.

This measure is also consistent with the broader national agenda set by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on ensuring fair recognition of labor and strengthening support for those working in education and science. With the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Yessenov University continues to pursue a policy aimed at improving the social well-being of its academic community and reinforcing the prestige of university teaching and research.

Accordingly, at today’s meeting of the Academic Council, a formal decision was adopted to increase the salaries of the faculty and teaching staff, effective 1 September 2025.

Average monthly salaries from 1 September 2025 will be as follows:

  • Lecturers523,000 KZT
  • Senior Lecturers582,000 KZT
  • Associate Professors717,000 KZT
  • Professors857,000 KZT

This decision is not an isolated step, but part of a consistent and long-term institutional approach. Over the past five years, salaries across all faculty categories have increased by at least two times. This growth reflects not only the university’s sustained commitment to social support, but also its recognition of the essential role faculty play in shaping the academic quality, research capacity, and overall development of the institution.

The progress of Yessenov University is directly connected to the daily work of its professors and lecturers. Their contribution extends far beyond the classroom: they educate future specialists, advance research, support innovation, mentor students, and strengthen the university’s intellectual and public mission. For that reason, the university places special emphasis on creating favorable conditions for academic work, professional growth, research activity, and long-term career development.

By increasing faculty salaries at the start of the new academic year, Yessenov University reaffirms its commitment to building a supportive academic environment in which merit is recognized and professional dedication is valued. The university sees investment in its people as one of the most important foundations for institutional progress, educational quality, and future competitiveness.

As the new academic year begins, we extend our sincere congratulations to all colleagues and wish you continued success, professional fulfillment, and many new achievements in teaching, research, and service.
