A roundtable titled “A New Stage of Constitutional Reforms in Kazakhstan: The Role of Civil Society and Political Institutions” was held at the Faculty of Pedagogy of Yessenov University.
The purpose of the event was to provide a comprehensive discussion of the ongoing constitutional reforms in the country, as well as to define the role of civil society and political institutions in these transformations.
The roundtable brought together faculty members and students of the faculty. During the discussion, particular attention was given to issues of the rule of law, the protection of human rights and freedoms, and the importance of open dialogue and public oversight in advancing democratic processes.
Participants emphasized that effective interaction between civil society and state institutions is a key foundation for democratic development, social stability, and strengthening public trust. It was also noted that discussing the draft new Constitution and constitutional reforms contributes to raising legal awareness among young people, fostering legal culture, and developing a sense of civic responsibility among future professionals.
Yessenov University will continue to organize substantive dialogue platforms aimed at promoting a comprehensive understanding of socio-political transformations and cultivating an active civic position among students.
