As part of the professional development of faculty members and administrators, the university has launched the course “Human Resources Management in Higher Education.” The course is delivered by Nurgul Pernebekkyzy, Associate Professor of the Department of Management, PhD in Public and Local Administration.

The course program is aimed at developing key competencies in personnel management within the academic environment and introducing modern HR management practices into university operations.

The participants of the course include faculty members as well as heads of structural divisions of the university, which allows HR-related issues to be discussed not only from an academic perspective but also from the standpoint of personnel management and corporate interaction.

During the course, participants have the opportunity to develop the following skills and competencies: strategic HR thinking — the ability to design long-term human resource strategies; recruitment and onboarding skills — the ability to effectively attract, assess, and integrate staff into the academic environment; staff development and training competencies — organization of professional development and mentoring programs, employee motivation; leadership and teamwork in the academic environment — building effective teams and developing managerial and communication skills; regulatory, legal, and ethical literacy — knowledge of the legal framework and ethical standards of personnel management, as well as adherence to corporate culture.

The course combines theoretical lectures with practical sessions, including the analysis of real-life cases and the modeling of HR processes within the university setting. Special attention is given to issues of corporate ethics, internal communications, and the formation of a unified corporate environment.

Upon completion of the course, all participants, including administrators, will receive certificates confirming their professional skills and mastery of the program competencies. This will serve as an additional incentive for implementing modern personnel management methods in the university’s educational and research activities.

The course contributes to enhancing staff professional development, strengthening teamwork, and fostering the university’s corporate culture. It also provides a platform for experience exchange among participants and for discussing current issues in HR management in higher education.
