On March 17, Yessenov University hosted a republican scientific and educational conference titled “Zeynolla Alshymbayev: Civic Position and Service to Society,” dedicated to the life and public service of the prominent statesman, economist, and petroleum engineer Zeynolla Utejanovich Alshymbayev.
The conference was attended by Deputy Akim of Mangystau Region Abbat Zhangirkhanovich Urisbaev, representatives of the academic community, public figures, intellectuals, writers, students, and young researchers.
During the event, presentations were delivered highlighting Zeynolla Alshymbayev’s contributions to public administration, the industrial sector, and parliamentary activity. A presentation of the book “During the Period of Historical Transformations” also took place.
Renowned public and academic figures—including Darzhok Seibagytov, Irak Kassymuly Elekeev, Serik Nygmetollauly Negimov, Aday Sabyr Sherkeshbayuly, and Sembigali Toreshuly Zakenov—shared their reflections, emphasizing his significant contribution to the country’s development.
The conference particularly underscored Alshymbayev’s role in the socio-economic development of the Mangystau region and in shaping the university’s infrastructure. In recognition of his contributions, he was awarded the university’s highest honor—the Shakhmardan Yessenov Medal.
