On March 3, a scientific seminar titled “Educated Youth — The Future of the Nation” was held at Yessenov University.
The keynote speaker was B.S. Zhaylauov, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Kazakh Philology and PhD doctoral candidate, who presented the concept of the national IQ Test platform as a tool for developing the intellectual potential of society.
The seminar also addressed the impact of reading culture on intellectual development, as well as on the formation of critical and scientific thinking. The relationship between reading practices and academic research was highlighted, and measures to increase young people’s interest in reading were proposed.
During the discussion, key issues related to enhancing the intellectual capacity of youth and fostering a culture of scientific thinking were comprehensively examined. The importance of the IQ platform and reading culture as essential drivers of intellectual development was substantiated from a scientific perspective.
