Yessenov University has improved its position in the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2026, demonstrating strong performance in sustainable development. According to the ranking results, the university scored 7,830 points, placing 291st globally and maintaining its position among the top three universities in Kazakhstan.
The university’s growth in international rankings reflects steady sustainable development over recent years. In 2023, Yessenov University was ranked 521st globally, advancing to 455th in 2024, 333rd in 2025, and reaching 291st place in 2026. Over four years, the university has improved its global ranking by 230 positions.
In the national ranking, the university continues to hold high positions: 6th place in 2023, 5th place in 2024, 3rd place in 2025, and 3rd place in 2026. Thus, Yessenov University has remained in the top three Kazakhstani universities for two consecutive years.
High performance was demonstrated across individual categories. Specifically, the university scored 1,487.5 points in Transportation and 900 points in Water, achieving the highest results among Kazakhstani universities in these areas.
