Yessenov University Hosted an International Meeting on Aquaculture Development

An international meeting dedicated to the development of aquaculture was held at Yessenov University. Acting President-Rector Ermek Nurmaganbet met with Christian Rey-de Rudder, Head of the Swiss company Swiss Choice Holding SA, and Executive Director Xavier Rey. The company develops the Caviar House brand in Kazakhstan and is implementing the “RED PEARL” fish farm project in the Tupkaragan district.
The parties discussed prospects for establishing a full-cycle aquaculture system in the Mangystau region, providing scientific and technological support for fish and caviar production, implementing international experience, and executing joint investment projects.
Special emphasis was placed on several key priorities:
- Improving incubation and juvenile fish rearing technologies;
- Developing domestic fish feed and feed additives;
- Adapting fish farming techniques to the natural and climatic conditions of Mangystau;
- Transferring modern technologies and training qualified specialists.
As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached to involve Yessenov University researchers in R&D activities for the “RED PEARL” project, establish a joint working group, and systematically implement targeted scientific initiatives.🐟🇨🇭🇰🇿
