Yessenov University held a TEDx meeting with the chairman of the Mangystau Regional Branch of the youth wing “Zhastar Rukh” under the AMANAT party, deputy of the Mangystau Regional maslikhat Marat Abzal. During the meeting, the speaker told the students about the existence of such qualities as honesty, integrity, virtue for the formation of an anti-corruption culture, and shared his advice on topical issues in modern society – young people with a bright future, open paths, without imitating drug addiction and gambling.
Yessenov University has a dedicated sustainability coordination team operating under the Office of the Vice President for Development and Innovation. This team’s sole responsibility is to advance sustainable development institution-wide by coordinating sustainability-related initiatives, aligning internal practices with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and managing institutional participation in international sustainability rankings such as QS, UI GreenMetric, and THE Impact.
Sustainable development is embedded in the university’s Strategic Development Plan to 2029 and reflects its mission to contribute to the development of the Mangystau region, where Yessenov University is the only higher education institution. Recent institutional projects, including the launch of the Kazakh-German Institute for Sustainable Engineering (KINI) and a green hydrogen development initiative, highlight the university’s applied commitment to environmental and regional sustainability.
Moreover, the concept of sustainable development underpins the university’s graduate model, ensuring that students are trained to be not only skilled professionals but also socially and environmentally responsible citizens.
Since the 2021-2022 academic year, Yessenov University has been conducting a comprehensive annual study “Brand Development Index and professional happiness index in the context of Yessenov University activities”.
Vice-Minister of Science and higher education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Darkhan Ahmed-Zaki visited Yessenov University as part of his working trip.
Yessenov University hosted the forum “society without corruption” in order to form a culture of intolerance, honesty, integrity among young people, as well as anti-corruption education of young people.
A meeting of young specialists of the school “Young managers ” was held in TED format. The purpose of the meeting is to exchange experience with young specialists in the region and further encourage young specialists by telling about how the university leadership has reached this level, as well as to dwell on the achievements of Yessenov University.
The Institute of Continueous Education organized an advanced training course on the topic “Management of learning in education”. Target audience: heads of administrative and managerial personnel and teaching staff. The purpose of the course: to learn modern technologies and methods of Personnel Management. The course coach is Dababrata Chowdhury, PhD, associate professor at the University of London, Ravensborn, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
