BOLASHAK SCHOLARSHIPS CAN RECEIPT A WHO-APPROVED VACCINE

Fellows of the Bolashak program are provided with access to vaccines approved by the World Health Organization. This issue was considered at a meeting of the interdepartmental commission to prevent the emergence and spread of coronavirus infection at the request of the Ministry of Education and Science.

As a result, the IAC allowed the fellows to be vaccinated with a vaccine approved by WHO.

Thanks to this decision, Bolashak scholarship holders will be able to freely travel to countries where they are allowed to enter, only if they receive vaccines approved by WHO.

Recall that from November 8, 2021, only persons who have received WHO-approved vaccines are allowed to enter the United States. This list includes vaccines from Pfizer-BioNTech Moderna Johnson&Johnson, AstraZeneca, Covishield, BIBP/Sinopharm, Sinovac. Similar rules apply to entry into Australia and a number of other countries.

💬“In order not to impede the education of Bolashak scholarship holders who go to study or train in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the USA and Japan, the Ministry of Education and Science sent a letter to the Ministry of Health with a request to consider the possibility of issuing a vaccine approved by WHO. It should be noted that full vaccination with two doses of drugs approved by WHO is required to enter the territory of these countries. The MVK supported our proposal. As a result, permission was issued to receive the BIBP/Sinopharm vaccine,” said Vice Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kuanyshgalaliev.
